Precipices all round

This morning the rained had taken a short break, so after an express breakfast, we set on up the cliff to see a little more of Rocamadour. Managed a nice little viewing before the crowd built up again.
Drive to Cahors began with 20 km of narrow winding road that had Gail uncomfortable. Thankfully the last 40 was much better. Stopped in Cahors for lunch, but found it completely dead, forgetting that May 1st is a French holiday. Luckily a nice brasserie saved our day.
Drive along the Lot river was beautiful now that the rain had taken a break. Our hotel/spa is very comfortable and looks straight across the river to the beautiful village of Saint Cirq Lapopie. We are happy that two restaurants were open in the village tonight, with a shuttle bus to get us there.
