Today is moving day and didn’t begin well with both of us having stomach cramps after eating too late last night. Had a little breakfast and got on the road early for Toulouse Airport. Traffic was horrendous out of Montauban and all around Toulouse.
Flight went quickly and we got a good fly-over the city of Lisbon before landing. It was great to be picked up by a driver who also gave a little history lesson on the way. We soon met up with Robert Cordrey outside our apartment building while having lunch before checking into our new home for 5 nights.
Had a walk through the foodie heaven that is the Mercado Ribeira opposite, where some of the city’s best restaurants have stalls. A walk around the local streets revealed a busy area with lots of interesting eateries, but somewhat spoiled by the litter and graffiti on the streets.
